Tour to Saklikent Gorge and Lycia’s ancient cities

Morning we leave Fethiye Ece Marina by bus, travel through picturesque rural Turkey to explore the Lycian, Byzantine and Ottoman ruins. Visit the Lycian tombs carved in the mountain among them the magnificent tomb of Amintos. We will continue to Xanths the ancient capital of Lycia with its monuments dating far back as 600B.the monuments at this site are among the most attractive to be found in Turkey. The Roman theatre, the renowned Monument of the Harpies, a single monolithic column that rised more than 5 meters in the air, the Xanthian Obelisk and much more are only part of the many treasures to be seen. Continue to Leton with it’s famous temples of Apollo and Airtimes.
We will continue our tour to the Saklikent Gorge, the longest and deepest canyon in Turkey, within flows the ancient Xanthos river. Walk on wooden platforms built to avoid the icy water and battle numerous small waterfalls set in sculpted limestone canyon walls. Enjoy a delicious lunch of grilled trout, messes and salads in the open. Then discover hidden, with its waterfalls and icy torrents of water to freshen you up before returning to Fethiye.
